Harwood Update Site Inspection Policy

Site Inspections

Following the Prime Minister’s statement on 10th May 2020, it is clear that there is an expectation that the construction sector returns to operations, provided that suitable precautions in terms of health and safety are adhered to, preventing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

At Harwood we are supporting our clients in continuing to provide a full building control service including plan assessments and site inspections.

We are aware that many sites which have continued, or are re-opening are finding difficulty in sourcing certain materials. Whilst we can appreciate these difficulties we would ask that every effort is maintained to comply with the minimum standards of the Building Regulations and we would ask that you continue to notify us at key stages of the project, ideally providing as much notice as possible when inspections are required.

We are conscious that projects nearing completion, may not be able to provide evidence of appropriate testing, certification, or commissioning, as a result of demand exceeding supply. Unfortunately, in these cases we will not be able to issue our Final Certificate until these matters are resolved and evidence of compliance is available.

Communication with us remains as normal and we will take steps to direct your enquiry to the relevant person.

If you have any general enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us, by emailing enquiries@harwood.uk.com

or call 01227 931777 and our team will ensure your enquiry is appropriately assigned and responded to.

Thank you once again for your understanding.
