Barton Court Free School

We are proud to be appointed for Building Control on this exciting project for Barton Court Free School, part of the Barton Court Academy Trust which will cater for 1050 secondary school pupils.

This brand-new building will have accompanying sports block, multi-use games area (MUGA), grass sports pitches and extensive landscaping

The internal design of the project has been developed around 4 central 3-storey atriums, which certainly provided some challenges in terms of fire safety compliance, fortunately, Harwood regularly deal with similar design challenges so are well placed to deal with such issues.

The school will have 7200m2 of teaching space with traditional classrooms and will also include vocational training studios for subjects including catering, hair and beauty therapy, health and social care, IT, art, and 3D design.

The school is due to open in September 2021
