Harwood team Tee off for charity
Here at Harwood, if we can combine doing what we enjoy and raise funds for some great causes, we’ll be right there.
Thankfully, we were offered the chance to tee off for good causes not once but twice in the space of a week!
Two teams, comprising of members of the Harwood and some talented golfers from some of our business friends from around the country, took to the green to help raise money for the Dennis Luckhurst Foundation and Canterbury Rugby Club.
Tuesday saw a Harwood team comprising of our very own Stuart Wilson, RNB Mechanicals Kris De Pledge, Simon Luckhurst from McLaren Motorsport and Stephen Williams of Alquity Asset Management took to the course at Sundridge Park on a wonderfully sunny day to try and retain the title won last year.
The team put in a cracking performance and won the day with a total of 99 points! Even more impressively, £18,000 was raised for the Dennis Luckhurst Foundation which will go towards a number of charities.
On Wednesday, a team comprising of Sam Hudson (Invicta Tools and Fixings), Mark Jeffrey (Jeffrey Construction), Stuart and Chris of team Harwood ventured out into the elements at Cave Resorts.
The team bravely faced the windy conditions and once again emerged as the best group on the day, finishing in first place with 97 points.
Of course the real winners of both events are the worthwhile causes who benefit from the funds raised on the day.
