Gearing up for the 2024 pre-championship warm-up rounds with Jayden Sherwood

Supporting personal and professional growth amongst our team members is something we’re very proud of, and a commitment we have extended to rising motorsport star Jayden Sherwood.

For the past four years, we’ve had the pleasure of sponsoring Jayden, a promising motorsport talent whose journey from karting to the junior class has been nothing short of inspiring.

Following a transition to the junior class midway through the 2023 season, Jayden has soared to new heights, showcasing remarkable skill and resilience behind the wheel of full-sized adult chassis karts. Despite a brief break due to a rib injury over the winter, Jayden kicked off 2024 with a stellar performance, securing a series of impressive top-two finishes.

Here’s a recap of his recent achievements:

2nd Place: 11th February – Clay Pigeon MSUK Club

2nd Place: 3rd March – Forest Edge MSUK Club (10th after penalties)

1st Place: 23rd March – Clay Pigeon Raceway

1st Place: 31st March – Dunkeswell Raceway

2nd Place: 7th April – Forest Edge MSUK Club (5th after penalties)

This weekend marks a significant milestone as Jayden gears up to compete in Round 1 of the National Karting Championship at Clay Pigeon, Dorset. With 71 drivers in the Junior Class vying for the top spot, the competition promises to be fierce. Yet, Jayden remains undaunted, channeling his dedication and determination to excel both on and off the track.

The National Karting Championship spans six rounds across England, with each event poised to deliver adrenaline-fueled excitement:

1st Place: 21st April – Clay Pigeon, Dorset

Round 2: Forest Edge, Winchester – 26th May

Round 3: Dunkeswell Raceway, Devon – 30th June

Round 4: Whilton Mill, Daventry – 18th August

Round 5: Three Sister, Wigan – 22nd September

Round 6: Warden Law, Sunderland – 13th October

UPDATE 25/04/24: After a successful opening race at Clay Pigeon, Dorset, in the National Karting Championship, following a lot of hard work by Jayden and Coles Racing, we’re delighted to announce that Jayden secured 1st Place.

“I would like to extend a huge thank you to Harwood Building Control for their support throughout the season so far,” expressed Jayden, acknowledging the backing that has helped to fuel his passion.
